Meet Angie

Angie Mitchell, LCSW

Angela N Mitchell (aka Angie) is the owner of Child & Family Therapy Associates, LLC, which opened in 2017. She is an award winning, trauma focused therapist in the Roanoke Valley and works with children and adults who have experienced severe trauma, abuse and neglect, among other clinical diagnoses. She was the 2018 “Golden Halo, Mental Health Professional” recipient presented by Children’s Trust of Roanoke Valley. Additionally, she works with Children’s Trust, along with local Departments of Social Services and other agencies to provide thorough, competent, and supportive mental health services. 

Angie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004 in Clinical Psychology, with a focus of Child Development from Hollins University, located in Roanoke, VA. She then went on to receive her Master’s in Social Work in 2006, from Radford University, located in Radford, VA. She has held a License in Social Work and is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Currently, Angie is working toward achieving credentialing as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), is a certified Moral Reconation Therapy facilitator and a trained Family Partnership facilitator. Angie is the mother of two adult children and one fur-baby. She is a native of the Roanoke Valley and looks forward to serving individuals in Roanoke and surrounding areas.
